Amy writes funny and magical stories for children of all ages. Her picture books have appeared on Cbeebies Storytime, been translated into many languages and been shortlisted for several book awards, including the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2013 and the Booktrust Best Books Awards 2014. Her most recent books are Ellie’s Magic Wellies, illustrated by Nick East and the Pirate Blunderbeard young fiction series, illustrated by Ben Cort.
Amy was born in Eastbourne and enjoyed a wild imagination when she was a child (which included 13 imaginary friends and curious incidents, such as removing part of the school floor in search of a magical land). She is passionate about encouraging imagination in children and is often invited to visit schools (as long as she promises to leave the floor alone).
Sara Ogilvie creates award-winning art which has been exhibited across the UK and abroad. Working as a freelance illustrator Sara creates images for editorial, design, publishing and advertising. She is the illustrator of many books including Dogs Don’t Do Ballet, Do Not Enter the Monster Zoo, Once Upon a Wish and Julia Donaldson’s Detective Dog.
